At that time of chaos and war a young Guarani aborigine fell in love with a beautiful Maracuya, a daughter of the Spanish captain. Despite the objections of her father, every night the girl was listening to the flute serenades performed by her beloved until one night was full of silence. The girl ran away from home and learnt that her beloved was murdered by her farther. Maracuya, grief-struck, thrusted a dagger into her heart and fell down on the grave of her beloved. In the tragic site the first passion flowers emerged which flowers bloom for only one day. This magical moment is captured on the scarf “Passion flower”.
